  21. ever try an external modem instead? id imagine a external modem with a
  22. really loud speaker (one that even wakes up neighbors) would help you
  23. .. i know your deaf.. but id imagine you would be able to tell a 
  24. little whats going on if you leave your hand on the modem when its 
  25. doing its thing and fealing for some vibrations?

  27. if the modem is dialing in pulse mode this should be obvious and u 
  28. should be able to tell with your hand resting on the modem.?

  30. using the tdd/voice relay network in the united states should also
  31. help you rule out if modems or humans are answering the phone
